Additional COVID Vaccine information for Eastern Hampshire County sites

From the Town of Amherst:  Securing vaccines for residents is a high priority for our communities. We are pleased that the State has released an additional cache of vaccine doses to Amherst, Northampton, and UMass to service Hampshire County. Our Town of Amherst team has been hard at work to ensure the vaccine supply Amherst receives is distributed equitably and with full consideration of the needs of the individuals in our area.

The Town of Amherst will open registration for the vaccine for those 75 years of age and older on Monday at 11:00 a.m. UMass will open registration for their site at the same time. The clinics will be held on Wednesday and Friday, February 3rd and 5th at the Amherst Regional High School. The UMass clinic will be at the campus center.

The vaccine clinic will serve eligible Eastern Hampshire County residents, primarily the communities of Amherst, Belchertown, Granby, Hadley, Hatfield, Pelham, South Hadley, and Ware. The group newly eligible on Monday are seniors over 75 years of age, o

The limited supply means not everyone will be able to get a vaccine right away.  Remember, registration is ONLY for those over 75 years of age.

Here is what we know about distributing the vaccine in Hampshire County:

For Amherst:  We have received an additional 975 doses and will open registration on Monday at 11:00 a.m. We will conduct our clinics on Wednesday and Friday at the high school. This location will service all of eastern Hampshire County.
